Artist Demonstration with Nayana Glazier

Join us here at Tomaquag Museum on July 21st and meet indigenous artist Nayana Glazier!  Nayana Glazier, Anishinabe of Wikwemikong First Nation from Manitoulin Island in Lake Huron Ontario, is an Acrylic and Mixed Media Artist working in a modern expressionist style incorporating elements of emotional life experiences and concepts of identity into her work. Nayana attended Massachusetts College of Art for Fine Art and Photography and has exhibited her work around the world including several exhibitions spotlighting contemporary Native American Artists. Her work can me found in collections around the US.

Nayana will be leading a demonstration on how to create your own canvases using practices that blend both traditional techniques with contemporary materials.  Join us as we learn from Nayana, view her work, ask lots of questions and even get hands-on to try your hand at these techniques.  Original works and prints will be available for sale.
