The Tomaquag Museum would like to welcome our newest team member, Kimberly Peters! Ms. Peters was born and raised in Willimantic, CT. A graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University, she brings 15 years of museum experience. As part of the Tomaquag team, she will be responsible for the care and preservation of the museum’s collection. “I feel blessed and honored to be able to work with Executive Director Loren Spears and be a part of Tomaquag as it grows. There are so many smaller Native Museums and Cultural Centers that have collections that are a part of the history of this country. I feel a responsibility and duty to help ensure these hidden gems are preserved for future generations.” Kimberly is a member of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe and the former director of the Mashantucket Pequot Museum. She is a member of NEMA, AAM and AASLH. She enjoys spending time with family and has recently taken up coloring for relaxation.
