Lorén Spears, Executive Director of Tomaquag Museum was appointed by Rhode Island State Governor, Gina Raimondo to the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts. Also appointed to the council were United States Figure skating Champion, Michelle Kwan, who is also the senior adviser for public diplomacy and public affairs at the U.S. Department of State, Carmen Diaz-Jusino, director of new enterprise and women business centers at the Center for Women & Enterprise, and Kate Blacklock, an adjunct professor at the Rhode Island School of Design.
