IEC creates a bridge from our Indigenous community to the outlying community here in Rhode Island. We are leveraging our relationships with local businesses and organizations to affect change in Indigenous communities with educational opportunities, job creation, job training, small business development, advocacy, and more!

Build connections to local Indigenous artists and educators to enhance public programming throughout RI
Provide professional development training for teachers, businesses to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
Advocate for environmental justice, Indigenous rights, food sovereignty, health & wellness, and educational equity.
Coordinate educational opportunities for Native youth and adults via our network of partners.
Being a resource for our partner organizations, supporting their initiatives, and providing archival and collections resources for their research.
